As so many of us sit endlessly scrolling in some sort of trance

You need to realize social media is a tool designed to influence us

And it's very easy to influence a lot of people

It's very easy to be sucked in and start to believe everything you see on there or start getting depressed with everyone showing off their Lamborghinis and Rolexes

Well this is not what social media is all about you need to start using it as a tool like it's designed to be

If your thinking of starting your own company or you run your own company social media is a great platform to promote your business

We use social media regularly to get a message out

That's to equip as many as many aspiring property investors as possible with the knowledge and skill they need to create the lifestyle of their choice

The things you can do on here are endless and since we have started using it as a tool it has propelled our business from strength to strength and it can certainly do the same for you

Here are a few tips for you to do right now

1 Edit your profile to promote the service or product you offer

2 Use a professional-looking profile picture

3 DO 7 live videos for the next 7 days to let people know what you do or intend to do they don't have to be to long or perfect just get them out there to engage with your audience

4 Join some groups that are related to your service and engage in conversation

The best part of it all this will cost you nothing

Do these tasks and be consistent and you will watch your business grow to new levels

I know I'm a property investment coach and this is slightly a bit

Off-topic but we like to deliver as many tips that can help

And especially if you're starting out in property it's very important for people to actually know what you do what you offer and who you are

property is a people business and the more people you connect with the better you are going to do in property

Not only will this open the doors to joint venture opportunities but it will also attract investment and a whole bunch of other options for you

Now here is a perfect example for you I recently had my range rover stolen from my driveway by a gang of car thieves

They were up the drive and away with the car in minutes

All that hard-earned cash drove off like it was nothing

I contacted the police and they weren't interested

Just asked me to fill in a form and someone might contact you I said hang on I have CCTV and everything it's ok just fill in the form they said literally a generic form online that to about 1 hour with lots of irrelevant questions and it will generate a crime number

So done all this informed my insurance and nothing heard back from the police no home visit or phone call

I'm not running police down I think they do a great job and they have hundreds of cars nicked weekly so I'm no one special

So decided to do my own little campaign on social media I uploaded the footage from the CCTV and shared it on my page within hours I had messages from all over people recognizing the car from other robberies

It had got so many views and shares that it caught the attention of a police sergeant not going into any details as this is an active investigation

But they were straight round to collect the footage and a proper explanation and a plan to track my vehicle down

I could have sat here for weeks waiting for an answer and with the power of social media I had a real high ranking officer on the case and the reassurance that something is actually getting done

This just highlights what social media is capable of

you never know who's watching and if you never put yourself out there you will never find out
